[ARCHIVED] Buckets of Rain Lead to Isolated Flooding

Late August Rainfall Flooding

The western portion of the District received intense rainfall Saturday night. Areas received over 4 inches within a few hours. All of the dams preformed as expected, slowing down runoff to protect life and property downstream. It will likely take several days for all of the water to draw down to typical levels in the areas hardest hit. The District Board recently renewed its contract wth USGS for guages which help the District track rainfall and flooding as it occurs.
